The UI and UX are the two most important things in the webpage and mobile applications. It is what catches the user’s eyes and provides them with good user experience. Many new terms might have entered the web and mobile development industry, but UI and UX are familiar terms that have been here for a long time.

A meticulously designed UI and UX can change the whole appearance, look and feel of the application. But even today, most people get confused at the meaning of UI and UX and often interchanged. The UI and UX are indeed interdependent, but they are both still a separate entity and need separate attention. Here is some perspective of what makes different and mutually dependent on each other.

What exactly is UX?
The user experience or UX can be defined as the interaction between the user (who are using a website or mobile application) and product, services or an app. The user experience of an application creates a user-friendly environment for the people to interact with a product. The UX is significant for a website or a mobile app as they are the ones that bring back users to the application. Bad user experience leads to the user not coming back to the application, and it may affect the overall business and loss of potential customers.

What does UX do?
The user experience in recent years has evolved a lot; functional designs and layouts are not enough anymore to bring good UX to the users. If a new person visits your website for the first time, they should be able to easily travel through the entire site like creating an account, searching for a product and finally purchase the product. A smooth UX gives a seamless transition of users from one step to another; it has to be so natural that the users do not have to think twice before doing the right action.

User Interface
The user interface is the most important and essential thing when it comes to a website or an application. UI involves all the steps like buttons, user controls and interactive elements of the application. The UI brings out the character of the application, which is very important for the business and branding. It is also a significant factor when it comes to user retention and engagement.

UI and UX are Interdependent
Some people think that UI and UX are not exclusive to each and can be developed without the one, and some people believe that they are the same thing. We need to think of a middle ground, the UI and UX are two separate entities required for application development, but there is no use of UI if there is no UX. If you think about UI, it involves all the best things like designs, colour palettes and grades but if the user cannot even log in to your application then what’s the use of the exceptional UI. So, both UI and UX need each other to create an overall good website or app.

In conclusion, let’s all agree that the first impression of a user is the best and with remarkable UI and UX, you can capture the eyes of your consumer. Therefore, UX also includes UI, and they both are interdependent and work amazingly together.
